On behalf of NYU Faculty Against the Sexton Plan and the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, I would like to invite you to our double feature documentary screening at the Judson Memorial Church on Tuesday August 14th, from 7-11pm.  We’ll be screening The Vanishing City and Battle for Brooklyn, with a panel discussion between the two films.

Our esteemed panel will discuss the pressing issue of over development in New York City and the destruction of communities and neighborhoods.  Panel members include:

Heather Quist (Co-Writer/Editor,Vanishing City)
Chris Iversen (Producer, Vanishing City)

Please join us for an evening of great cinema, great minds, and greatly needed advocacy. We’re continuing our fight to save the Village from NYU’s uncontrolled expansion and need your help!  Admission is $25, or $15 with a student id.  Refreshments will be available for purchase as well. Please see the attached poster for further details and circulate this email to all your contacts who would be interested.

If you are unable to join us but still want to make your voice heard, you can get involved through our websiteFacebook page, or make a donation to support our cause.  Also, please check out While Where Sleeping: NYU and the Destruction of New York, an urgent call to action to save Greenwich Village from NYU’s expansion.
